All of you political junkies will undoubtedly be glued to CNN or MSNBC tomorrow evening. But how will you get up-to-the-minute news on all the races around the country that have the biggest impact for animal protection?
“Animals & Politics” will be live blogging from election central in Los Angeles, where we’ll be gathered with hundreds of dedicated volunteers from the YES! on Prop 2 campaign. I’ll start posting results and updates as they come in from around the country, as soon as the polls close on the east coast, and I’ll offer analysis and commentary throughout the night until we know the outcomes of the west coast battles.
Here’s your source for information on how animals will fare in statewide ballot measures and congressional races around the country. Find out if greyhound racing will be banned in Massachusetts and if factory farm abuses will be curbed in California. See if the Humane Society Legislative Fund will defeat the biggest enemies of animal welfare in Congress, like Rep. Joe Knollenberg (R-Mich.). And find out if HSLF-backed incumbents like Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) and Rep. Chris Shays (R-Conn.) will be reelected to continue fighting for animals in Congress.
I hope you’ll join me online Tuesday starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern / 5:00 p.m. Pacific. It is going to be an exciting night for animals!
